Workshop A - Geographical Implications Analysis of EU Exit

The workshop will focus on the work undertaken to map the potential spatial impacts of the EU exit, how we consider risk and its effects and potential impacts on communities, as well as touch on the future and potential opportunities for growth within Wales.

Workshop D - Making the Apprenticeships Programme work for you

Delegates will no doubt be aware, that the Welsh Government is committed to delivering high-quality a Apprenticeships Programme to meet the needs of individuals, employers, and the wider-Welsh economy. However, recent employer feedback to the Regional Learning and Skills Partnership indicates that nearly 75% of employers did not know how to access the programme. Therefore, this workshop aims to outline the current Apprenticeships Skills Policy, and how employers across the region can influence and access the Welsh Government’s highly successful Apprenticeships Programme.

Workshop E - Opportunities and challenges for developing Bilingual Learners’ Skills

Following a review of our work by the Welsh Government’s Task and Finish Group, the role of the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol was extended to the post-16 sector recently. This workshop will include a brief introduction to the Welsh language and bilingualism strategy and action plan for the sector.

The workshop will focus on discussing the challenges as well as creating solutions to the challenges. We will also identify opportunities for us to work together and jointly plan in order to realize the action plan and reach the target of a million Welsh speakers by 2050.
