Event description
Partnering with start-ups is a key ingredient for corporations to out-innovate the competition. How can they do it successfully?

About this event

The EIT Food is fostering collaboration to develop a better Food system for Europe.

This process of deep innovation of the way we grow, produce and consume food demands successful partnerships between companies and start-ups, but: how can we handle the differences in strategic objectives, working practices, maturity and speed at stake?

This is the challenge.

Join us on June 29th on the 1st Round of our Impact innovation Series where we define the must-haves as well as practical tips for successful partnerships based on real learnings from several EIT members, start-ups and corporations such as Danone, PepsiCo & Mondelez.

Our Impact innovation Series Round 1 will be run in close collaboration with InnoPearl, an innovation partnership creator. The panel cast will feature:

Olga Guerous, Founder & CEO of Innopearl - formerly VP of Mars and Director of Pepsico - and her team of corporate executives: Walter Bietry, Guillaume Gaussens, and Sabine Gourmain.

We will examine some of today's most relevant questions, including:

The purpose of partnerships: as the pressure on the market to create a better food system is increasing, corporations turn to the external world to innovate. But what outcomes do they expect really? What are they looking for?

The inner and outer game of engagement: what if there was a new model for assessing and developing alliances that integrated the “soft” and “hard” assets of both parties? What if there was a way to enable their equal importance and their inherent interdependence?

Leading a Proof of Concept: addressing the PoC quickly and effectively requires moving away from individual leadership towards a shared or collective leadership capacity. How can this shift be achieved?

Crossing the partnership chasm: a successful PoC needs to be transformed at scale to impact the food system. But this requires crossing the most dangerous zone. How to overpass this redzone?

Join us for a thought-provoking, not-to-be-missed 60-minute panel cast.
