Description

A fun and productive afternoon to create ekphrastic poetry - poetry inspired art.

At the 'Words and Pictures' exhibition by London artist Sue McQueen, Barbara will guide and support writers to create new poetry inspired by Sue's art.

The afternoon will start with a viewing of Sue's work during which poets will select a piece that stimulates their imagination. They will on to draft poems and workshop them in a structured and supportive environment. Sue will be on hand if anyone wants to ask her about her art.

Poets will be encouraged to finalise their pieces and will be invited read their work at LWE presents… which will be hosted at the gallery on 25th May.

About Barbara Marsh

Barbara is a London-based American writer, musician and teacher, and winner of the 2015 Troubadour International Poetry Prize. Her poetry has appeared in various magazines and pamphlets and been widely anthologised in the UK. She was formerly half of The Dear Janes and currently plays with Vachement Bath. She has an Mphil in Creative Writing from the University of Glamorgan
