About this Event
Join us for our second online dark skies event, celebrating the beautiful night sky and how it has inspired us over thousands of years, through myth, music and storytelling. We have a STELLAR line-up of guests who will show you how to stargaze easily, where to go in the Cambrian Mountains to enjoy the night sky and much more:

6.30pm - The Cambrian Mountains at Night
Dafydd Wyn Morgan is very familiar with the Cambrian Mountains and can be found hiking there, day and night. He will be sharing his experiences of his night hikes, his photography and showing you the best places to stargaze under some of the darkest skies in Europe.
7.00pm - Binocular Stargazing for Beginners
Stargazing with binoculars is an easy and quick way to get to know the night sky. Steve Tonkin will talk about which binoculars to buy and how to find star clusters, nebulae and more, including a run-down of what is in the night sky this winter and spring.
7.30pm - Astro-photography on a Budget
Dave Eagle will talk about how you can take photographs of the night sky and how to edit them without having to pay astronomical prices.
8.00pm - Story of the Stars
Join storyteller Kama Roberts, as she takes you on a journey of the stars. She will illuminate the night with her immersive tales of the constellations that are currently in the night sky, based on ancient mythology.
8.30pm - Welsh Constellations
Did you know that the ancient Welsh had names and myths associated with the constellations? Martin Griffiths will talk about this rich, Celtic heritage of the night skies.
9.00pm - 10.30pm - Herschel to Hawkwind
Pete Williamson will give a fascinating talk of how music and astronomy have influenced each other over several hundred years across many genres.
