About this event

The theme for 2022 International Women's Day is #BreaktheBias, a call to stand up against gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping. In honour of this, ELBA are running an online 'Learning from Leaders' session on 9th March.

We look forward to welcoming some fantastic panellists from both the corporate and community sector, and creating a space to share advice, experiences, learnings on Breaking the Bias.

From the community, we will hear from Anna Strickland.

Anna is an empowerment and self esteem photographer who works under the name of HeardinLondon, a confidence coach at Self Care School, and Director of True you Today - an organisation that empowers and supports survivors of gendered abuse (women, non binary people, those on gender queer spectrum) through art, movement and creativity.

From the business side, volunteers from UBS, Société Générale and Linklaters are set to share their personal and professional experiences, in particular looking at the intersectionality of gender bias and its impact in areas such as age, maternity, culture, and race.

We aim to bring together people from corporate and community sectors and create a space to share advice, experiences, learnings, and celebrate International Women’s Day.

More details to be announced.

This session is FREE and open to employees, managers and leaders in any community organisations with a social and charitable purpose across East London.
