Event hosted by Public Health England South West.
Utilising the local Public Health system to inform the public and influence perceptions of relative harm of e-cigarettes compared to tobacco to facilitate the harm reduction agenda.
This workshop reflects and builds on the ‘E-cigarette Symposium’ hosted by PHE and CRUK earlier this year. It is designed to support public health professionals who are not directly involved with the Tobacco Control agenda but would like to understand more about the issues that surround e-cigarettes and implications of wider public health practice.
The workshop will include an interactive session to look at how local Public Health networks could facilitate the e-cigarette harm reduction agenda and help address public misconceptions of relative harm compared to tobacco.
The event is particularly aimed at the wider public health workforce speaking with members of the public about smoking.
