About this Event
Awareness raising about labour rights violations and risks in high-spend, high-volume purchasing categories and what can be done to address them. There will be online expert presentations on human rights risks in selected high-risk purchasing sectors including food, construction, transport and logistics, textiles and furniture.
Capacity building for public authorities to identify and analyse the quality and the credibility of the evidence that is shared by their suppliers. This is evidence used to demonstrate compliance with socially responsible procurement regulatory obligations and policy commitments.
Advice and guidance on how public authorities can use their leverage to promote and protect the rights of workers in their supply chains and connect with other stakeholders that have expertise in different sectors.
Target Audience
All procurement professionals – particularly those who cover the procurement and supply chain management of textiles/clothing and related contracts (detailed content to be provided nearer the time)
