About this Event
This autumn, elemental – the online community for advancing innovations in heat, water, air and energy – will host a series of District Energy Webinars.
Covering a range of topics, this webinar series welcomes the participation of over a dozen speakers with a direct interest in this highly efficient way to heat and cool buildings in a given locale from a central point.
Session 1 (24th November) – supported by Buro Happold and sponsored by Danfoss – will look at the market size, latest trends and technologies, focusing on UK figures. We will then look at the pain points for district energy from the perspective of a consultant, a client and a technology provider.
Session 2 (27th November) – chaired by Buro Happold with support from the Association for Decentralised Energy, CIBSE and Danfoss – will focus on the latest regulatory framework for district heating. This session will encourage discussion and debate on the future direction of the industry and how this is affected by the current regulations.
Session 3 (December 9th) – is delivered by the Heat Networks Investment Project – will go through a series of scenarios and examples around investment and funding in relation to district heating projects. The discussion will cover current as well as past examples and look at the future investment opportunities
Session 4 (December 16th) – What does the future hold for district heating in the UK? This session will look at future technologies, applications and innovations in district energy.
