Event description

Description

Welcome to the registration for our Elemental Analysis (EA) and Total Organic Carbon (TOC) seminars for anyone working with these techniques.

Attendance of the meeting is free of charge and includes all refreshments and lunch. We will also have an evening social event on the 5th September for everyone to join us for a meal at one of Manchester's finest eateries.

The meeting is to encourage best practice of these instruments to enable optimum instrument performance, data quality and instrument lifetime. As such the event is open to anyone that uses, or intends to use, any brand of elemental analyser and TOC instrumentation. So, if you're considering performing EA/TOC in your lab, currently use Kjeldahl and want to know more about the Dumas method or have another manufacturers instrument and want to increase your understanding of the technique, then please come along.

The day will be split two so that you can attend the session most appropriate for your work and make the most of your time. Of course, you are also welcome to attend both sessions if desired. A provisional agenda is below. If there are any specific topics you would like including please let us know and we can look to include these:

  2. Maintaining clean blanks
  3. Calibration strategies
  4. Analysing samples containing particulate

Lunch 1 pm - 2 pm (provided for all delegates of both sessions)

Elemental Analysis Agenda (2 pm - 5 pm)
