Description

Drawing Stories with Edward Taylor

A half day workshop with Edward Taylor

Saturday 26th May, 1.30-5pm at Cobden Works

Edward Taylor will deliver a half day workshop about visual story-telling. In groups you will use drawing to generate unexpected and surprising stories, inspired by finding connections between disparate images.

Edward Taylor and Sue Auty are the founders of Whalley Range All Stars one of the UK’s leading outdoor theatre companies. Their shows start life as a long series of drawings which are not done to act as storyboards or designs for costumes or set but to suggest ways that the performance could develop when it reaches the production period.

This workshop will benefit creative practitioners and community leaders interested in bringing visual story telling into the work they create as artists or with participants. if you cam draw great, but it's not a problem if you're less confident wielding a pen.

As well as leading Wally Range All Stars, Edward and Sue have amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience from working with Horse & Bamboo, Dogtroep (Amsterdam), Action Space Mobile, Manchester People’s Band, Conspiracy of Noise and Manchester School of Samba.
