Our spring programme not only provides great value for money learning opportunities for creative practitioners interested in performance in the outdoor arts, but also provides the chance to work with some leading names in event and parade design along with puppet making, silk painting for costumes and banners. And finally, if you’re eager to find new ways of incorporating recyclable materials into your work, we have a wonderful new masterclass that with equip you with some smart skills and ideas on how to make your practice more sustainable.

Bursaries

Thanks to our Bursary scheme we are able to offer a number of free or subsidised classes. You can apply for up to three bursaries during our spring season, but we can only award one per creative practitioner. In other words, if you are unsuccessful in applying for a bursary for one class, you can apply for another.

The purpose of bursaries is to make classes accessible to as many people as possible, so if cost is a genuine barrier to you taking part, or this masterclass is pivotal to your professional development please explain this when applying. You’ll find details on how to apply next to each masterclass. Applications for a free or subsidised place are assessed on an individual basis and you will be notified within two weeks of the date of the class on whether your application has been successful.
