Learn from Sammi Gabb, an experienced Event & Production Manager working in Outdoor Arts in this online evening workshop
About this event
Join us for an online evening session and get inspired by Sammi Gabb, a well experienced Production and Event Manager working in the outdoors arts events industry for the last 14 years. Sammi will share with us her insights and top tips on delivering outdoor performance from large scale spectaculars like Zara 2019 collaboration between Walk the Plank and Mind the Gap and Pafos European Capital of Culture Opening Ceremony 2017 to smaller scale shows such as she supported as Production Manager for Hull’s Freedom Festival (2013-16)
If you’re booking onto this workshop, we ask that each participant submits a few sentences about their background, experience, and why they have applied.
Sammi’s specialism and passion is in delivering new and exciting outdoor arts projects; applying her skills to help support teams in reaching their vision and ambition whilst ensuring it meets production and health and safety needs. But most importantly, still giving space for huge creative ambition. Her portfolio of work spans a range of projects including work for MIF, Walk the Plank, Mind the Gap, Hull Freedom Festival, Skepta and others: outdoor theatre, immersive performances, arts festivals, street theatre, music festivals, and processions.

Now in its eighth year, ELEVATE is a creative practitioner and community leader development programme, for curious creative adventurers, wanting to gain and share know-how in outdoor arts. ELEVATE masterclasses offer free and subsidised practical workshops and stimulating talks by international and nationally significant outdoor artists – people Walk the Plank think we as a UK sector can benefit from meeting and learning from.
