Beth Rowlinson-Baker has made arrangements for Alan O'Donohoe to run sessions in his role of Speacialist Leader in Education for Exa Foundation.
If you have ideas for other topics that you would like see covered or suggestions for the alternatives to the sessions then please get in touch.
The event is free to all Somerset eLIM subscribing schools with other non-Somerset schools having to cover a facility cost.

A workshop suitable for beginners and intermediate level to demonstrate some activities to increase the level of interest in text-based programming.

12.00 Session 10 - Tackling a GCSE Computing Controlled Assessment – Alan O’Donohoe
A workshop to gain a better understanding of how to teach, complete and assess a GCSE Computing (or GCSE Computer Science) programming assignment.
1.50 Session 11 – BBC Micro:bit – Ian Gover
How are schools going to use the BBC Micro:bit? What are the challenges? Exploring ideas.
2.30 Session 100 - Online Safety – Ian Gover
Exploring new areas of Online Safety including the latest research, Prevent agenda, societal issues and the requirements of the National Curriculum.
3.00 Plenary – Question and Answers
A session to answer questions that have previously been raised or have occurred throughout the day.
Please bring a laptop. If the laptop can have Python, any version, installed, then that would be fantastic.
