Elizabeth Hunter at Surya! Support from Brudini, Bright Works and R.ariel.
Elizabeth Hunter is a young recording artist based in NYC. Her sound runs between upbeat, motown-esc anthems to more laid-back soulful ballads. Leading her ensemble on electric bass, her songs are composed of strong melodic hooks underpinned by pervasive bass grooves.
Brudini's music is like an early 20th century novel in all its colours, mystery and energy, being opened and unfolded and sung into music, a vagabond journey filled with light and darkness, accompanied by funky beats and heavy percussion, evoking the references of older traditions in poetry and music.
BRIGHT WORKS are the dream of a giant dead ant dreaming about the world. Liam writes the lyrics about being dead, Zeyn plays the bass lines to make it rly giant, Pete is the ant and Charlie makes it walk by playing his drums. Recently they wrote a song called Gamble Careful to help children be careful when they gamble, but they also played a gig in London.
R.Ariel is a musician, photographer, videographer and author from Phoenix, AZ. Uplifting women in art.
