About the Course

Alternative and Augmentative Communication Systems (AAC) are essential for children and

adults who find using speech and language challenging. This course is written for practitioners

supporting users of AAC, equipping them with innovative tools and methods to develop and

encourage communication.

Designed to be delivered over five weekly sessions, it may also be taught as an intensive

two day programme. The course uses relevant teaching methods including practical

activities, videos and group discussion to engage learners. This course is accredited

at levels 2, 3 and 4 and so provides excellent CPD for SLT’s and SLT assistants.
