Ellesmere Yard Volunteering Welcome Session

Ellesmere Yard has recently benefitted from lottery funding and is now developing the Yard into a destination which celebrates canal heritage and landscape.

We are looking for volunteers to come along with us on the journey. It’s early days, but we are expanding activities and volunteer opportunities in these early stages.

This is a unique place to be, and we want to engage with you to make it a destination for all to admire.

We are hosting ‘welcome sessions’ in September, so would love to invite you to a talk and a walk around the site. Plans include: eco and landscape volunteers, young people explorer leaders, events ambassadors, history experts and canal guides. We are also open to volunteers hosting small social groups on site, providing a wellbeing space for heritage crafts and engagement activities.
