Meet Portland based writers and bicycle activists Elly Blue and Joe Biel at 49 Old St. on Monday 4th September.

They will present Groundswell: Bicycle Culture Rising, short documentary films about people and communities who are using bicycles for social justice.

Groundswell: Bicycle Culture Rising
A single mom is arrested for riding to work, a community works together to create a bike shop, a masked superhero takes to the streets of Mexico City, and more. In between films is a facilitated discussion about issues of class, race, gender, and economics.

Elly Blue and Joe Biel are documentary filmmakers and book publishers from Portland, Oregon, USA.
Books from Microcosm Publishing will be available for sale.
