Elsa Hackett is a singer and composer with an ecelctic artistic background. Being born into a bilingual family in Spain, in 1996, she has been largely influenced by classical music, spanish traditional, latin genres, folk, pop music and now jazz by studying it at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Known in Catalonia for being the founder and one of the soloists of the vocal group “In Crescendo”, winner of the TV competition “Oh Happy Day” (TV3) in 2014; and previously, having sung in the internationally awarded youth choir “Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió” since the age of 11. She has now decided to take a step forward creatively in the form of new original music. The set will be a window to past and present, a transition, the space and shapes between her two cultures. The instruments will be cello, violin, guitar, percussion and voice.
PWRPFFS are an experimental pop band from London. Formed in 2016, the classical music students at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, started playing electronic music together, influenced by the likes of FKA Twigs and James Blake, as an escape from their classical studies, playing their first live gig alongside the prolific musician and producer 'Leafcutter John' at the Barbican Centre.
Richard Melkonian - ‘Soft sounds, nostalgia and space’ are the words to describe Richard Melkonian's music. The project of the multi-faceted and talented composer ‘marries together his interest in classical music and folk music’. His competent and authentic folk coupled with confessional lyrics hits right at the heart.
