Elvis: In Words & Music, His Incredible Life Story
Event Information
About this Event
Spend the afternoon relaxing in the company of professional storyteller, The Story Teller Fellah, and one of the UK's leading Elvis tribute acts, Karl Memphis. You can join this event via Zoom, or if you don't have the Internet, you can dial in through your phone and listen in. Full instructions will be shown on the event page when you have got your tickets.
Hear the incredible story of Elvis' life, interspersed with the songs - and the outfits! - through the years, with our live Zoom show.
Karl Memphis is one of the UK's leading Elvis tribute artists having performed shows all around the UK, Europe and West Indies, and with a few TV appearances. He is one of the younger Elvis tributes around, and has devoted many hours to perfecting Elvis's voice, moves, look and his incredible stage presence.
The Story Teller Fellah, is also known as John The Poet, and founded a Social Enterprise that seeks to reduce loneliness and social isolation. He does this by telling stories, holding poetry workshops, writing and delivering stand up comedy, or simply chatting !
John specialises in working with older people, and has worked at many care homes, residential schemes and in prisons around the UK.
Between them, they will conjure up memories of yesteryear, and take you on a journey through the years, remembering Elvis and our own lives through the eras.
We don't want to just entertain you, we would like to help people get together for a chat and some company as well. We encourage attendees to use the Zoom chat function to talk, and we can also pass messages on to the artists.
We also have a group telephone call while the event is on hosted by Emma of Age UK Sandwell. You can join this at any time for company, to chat, listen in, or if you need any help.
