Ely City Women's Institute (ECWI) are hosting a quiz night at the Lighthouse community centre on Lynn Road, Ely. Open to all! Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
We are excited to confirm that our Quiz Master for the evening is local and international quizzing legend, Jehan Mendis (of 'Colombo Pub Quiz, Sri Lanka' and 'Ely Arts Festival Pub Quiz' fame!)!
Teams of up to 6 people. Members and non-WI members equally welcome!
Cost is £6 per person (plus a small additional booking fee, imposed by Eventbrite - sorry!). This includes quiz entry, table snacks, tea and our famous homemade ECWI cake! If you do wish to join us, please register as an individual below to reserve your place, and sit in your teams when you arrive!
Teams are welcome to bring their own drink (alcohol and soft drinks), as there will be no additional bar. Please bring some cash on the night for our Hamper Raffle, where 5 themed hampers are up for grabs, with all items donated by members of ECWI! The themes are: Afternoon Tea; Winter Warmer; Pamper; Store Cupboard; and Fruit and Veg.
We will also be running a pre-loved bookstall (£1 for a paperback, £2 for a hardback), also featuring a selection of jigsaws (pre-loved and complete). Again, as we do not have a card machine, please make sure you bring some cash with you!

A note on our refund policy for this event: ECWI are a local charitable group. We are are also catering this event, which requires us to have a solid estimate of numbers in advance of the event, so we can get baking! Given that we are a community group, and have eco credentials to live up to (we won an award in the 'Community Champion' category at the East Anglia Clean & Green Awards this year!), we want to ensure that we do not over-cater, and that we get as many people as possible in attendance on the night. We are therefore only able to offer refunds up to 14 days prior to the event, and only for the cost of the ticket price (£6.00). Unfortunately we are unable to afford to refund the booking fee as well. So please think carefully before committing to purchase a ticket!
