The Echo project invites professionals in Bolton, Leicestershire and Sheffield to join us for a thought-provoking webinar hosted by Ursula, a SafeLives Pioneer (lived experience advocate) and founder of VOICES, a domestic abuse recovery charity in Bath, and Lillie, Public Health Programmes Coordinator at Leicestershire County Council.

🗓 Date: Monday 14th October

🕛 Time: 12:00 – 13:30

📍 Location: Online (link will be shared upon registration)

This 90-minute session will introduce the principles of trauma-informed practice, a framework that recognises the widespread impact of trauma and emphasises safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment in the way we work. Trauma-informed approaches ask not “what’s wrong with you?” but rather “what’s happened to you?”, ensuring that services respond with understanding and compassion.

We will explore how trauma-informed practice can be embedded into everyday work, with a particular focus on bringing authentic voices into the heart of decision-making and service design. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the approach and practical ways to apply it within their roles.

This webinar is suitable for professionals across public health, community services, safeguarding, and anyone interested in creating safer, more inclusive systems of support.

This webinar will be hosted on Zoom. We ask that each person wishing to attend please register individually- please do not share the link, as this means we are unable to accurately track attendance. Please also create an appointment in your calendar so that you can be sure to attend.

Once you click the ‘Reserve a spot’ button, you will be taken to a registration page to enter your contact details. Click ‘register’ and you will then be directed to a second page to provide some further information. Once you click 'Complete order' this will secure your place.
