The talk invites lecturers to reflect upon their current lecturing and assessment practices, and using the latest academic writing- learning theory, adapt their practices for inclusion of dyslexic- dyspraxic, and other learning diverse students.
Aileen Hanrahan MSc. HDip. SpLD PGCE has been tutoring-researching learning diverse students for more than a decade. Her PhD thesis is partly about how lecturing practices that teach not only to topic knowledge but also to academic writing learning result in more coherent teaching practices and increased student satisfaction and performance.
