Embodied Connection: Nurturing Self-Compassion and Inner Resources

By LGBT Health and Wellbeing

Overview

A mental wellbeing workshop in Glasgow for trans and nonbinary people (16+)

This mental wellbeing workshop, led by Hester (they/them), is for trans and nonbinary folks aged 16 and over.

In this 3-hour workshop, we will aim to cultivate a deeper connection with our embodied experience, as a way of finding a deep inner resource for ourselves. Through guided meditation, mindful movement, somatic awareness and self-compassion practices, we'll work towards a more compassionate and embodied sense of self, deepening our connection with our own inner resources, grounding and a deeper sense of compassion and self-acceptance.

No experience of meditation is necessary. We will be doing some gentle movement, so please dress comfortably!

Hester's mission is to empower people to live more courageous, authentic and meaningful lives, and they are deeply committed to personal and collective liberation in the queer community. They regularly lead meditation and mindful movement retreats and workshops, and is a psychotherapist practicing in Glasgow. You can find them at www.embodiedcourage.com

This event will be in Glasgow - we will send you venue details nearer the time.
