We live in a culture that has forgotten how to feel.
And yet, every night, our dreams invite us to remember.
In much of Western psychology, when dreams are valued at all, they are pulled through the thinking function and asked:
What does this mean?
But true meaning is not found in equations.
Not in this symbol equals mother, this symbol equals love, this symbol equals death.
Meaning arises through feeling.
When you rest into the felt sense of dream images, rather than trying to interpret or decode them, you enter the terrain of the Feeling Function as described in Jungian Depth Psychology. This is not emotion, sentimentality, or sensation. It is a deeper evaluative field: a way the psyche knows what matters.
Feeling is where value lives.
When you meet dreams through the Feeling Function, you encounter a resonant field of meaning that cannot be reduced to concepts. A field where something ancient, soulful, and alive moves through you. Where the currents of the anima mundi—the soul of the world—are taken back into the human heart and metabolised through lived experience.
This kind of dream encounter can be profoundly moving.
And quietly life-altering.
Knowing is not the same as feeling
There is a vast difference between believing something cognitively and knowing it in the body.
When we work with dreams through the Feeling Function, our core values—our soul-beliefs—are no longer just ideas we agree with. They become felt truths. Truths that orient our lives, guide our choices, and bring us into deeper alignment with who we are becoming.
Feeling shows us:
- What is vital now
- What nourishes us
- What is asking to be honoured
- What no longer belongs
This is how soul makes meaning with dream.
What this workshop offers
In this Embodied Dream Weaving workshop, you will be invited to meet dream on its own terms, through sensation, presence, and feeling, rather than interpretation or analysis.
Together, we will explore:
- Dreaming through the Feeling Function, beyond symbol-hunting
- How value and meaning emerge somatically
- Dream as a living, relational process
- Embodied practices to weave dream into waking life
No prior dreamwork experience is needed. You are welcome exactly as you are.
