Embodied Life Drawing, with Ali Farrall
Overview
Join us as we take you on an evening of embodied drawing. Through a series of exercises’, you will explore ways in which to draw using your sensory and emotional experience. We will be queering your expectations of what a drawing should be, with free movement and mark making abstraction - so come with an open mind and leave the self judgement at the door!
In order to deepen your experience of embodied drawing, you are invited to be celebrated with the opportunity to use your body to model! You will be encouraged to express yourself in whatever fashion feels right for you on the day and consciously supported with how you share – costume, prop or yoga pants whatever you fancy!
This class does not require any drawing or artistic experience; nudity will be supported if present but of course not mandatory for participation.
We do, however, require conscious and sensitive participation; therefore, we will include a briefing on etiquette the start.
Please wear comfortable clothing. All materials provided. All bodies welcomed and supported.
Ali Farrall is a queer artist in london, her practice stems from embodied and sensory experimentation. She utilises mediums such as drawing, performance, installation, and painting to express themes of community, revelry, anarchy, and compassion.
