What to expect
This three hour workshop will take you on a journey to make deeper connections with yourself for an improved sense of general well-being. It will be facilitated by qualified hatha yoga teacher and shiatsu massage practitioner Sara McGuire (https://www.facebook.com/pureyogaandshiatsu/) and qualified dance teacher, performer and yoga practitioner Joanna Marshall (www.stillmover.org).
The day will begin with introductions, a short meditation and pranayama (breathwork), followed by yoga in stillness before moving into some guided intuitive movement with music. The morning will end with yoga nidra (relaxation and also known as yogic sleep) and a circle with time for feedback.
No previous experience of yoga, dance or movement is required. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and arrive promptly - doors open 10am.
What to bring
Please bring your own yoga mat, a blanket to keep warm during relaxation if needed, and a block or cushion to sit on. Please contact us if you are having difficulty supplying your own equipment.
We’d suggest you don’t eat during the practice but please bring a hot or cold drink with you to have during the short breaks.
If you have any health conditions please make us aware of them before the workshop begins.
