Embroidery Fashion Workshop

Join embroidery artist Kate Elisabeth Rolison, who studied at the Royal School of Needlework, to embellish a light-coloured garment (such as a white cotton blouse or nude satin slip dress) with hand stitched words and images. Create a wearable work of art you will treasure for years to come.
The workshop runs from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 1st April at a cost of £40. Drinks and snacks provided, bring your own lunch, or there is a cafe attached to the studio. There are six places available for the workshop. Object Book is fully accessible.
Embroidery artist Kate Elisabeth Rolison, who studied traditional hand embroidery techniques at the Royal School of Needlework, and now works in collaboration with partners spanning non profit organisations, fashion stylists, choreographers and composers, to name but a few. Kate is a firm believer in Craftivism (the art of craft and activism), and undertakes personal projects often focusing on fashion, language, or art works which are to be explored and understood through handling.
Please bring a light coloured garment such as a white cotton blouse or nude satin slip dress. All other materials will be provided.
Who is the workshop for?
For anyone who wants to learn embroidery and transform a garment into a wearable work of art. There are six workshop places available.

At our bright cosy studio in Walthamstow, 5 minutes walk from Walthamstow Central on the Victoria line.
