EMDR: An introduction for hypnotherapists and talking therapists
Sun 21 May 2017, 10:00 – 17:00 BST
***Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) ***
Originally designed to help address traumatic memories, EMDR facilitates the accessing, processing and resolving of disturbing memories and unpleasant life experiences, whilst addressing negative beliefs and unwanted body sensations about past and future events and promoting supportive positive beliefs. It offers the hypnotherapist or talking therapist a range of approaches to work with a broad range of conditions, including trauma, disturbance, anxiety (past, present, future events), phobias and performance concerns. This workshop explores both the theoretical principles and practical techniques, including both the standard protocol for trauma and adaptations for a wide range of other conditions and situations, as well as how to employ EMDR techniques for ego strengthening and wellbeing enhancement.
*** This workshop is designed for hypnotists, hypnotherapists, NLP practitioners and talking therapists who have had some knowledge of hypnosis and hypnotherapy ***
