This EMDR Power Hour is a webinar for EMDR therapists and will focus on the two-handed interweave (Robin Shapiro), which is an effective tool to use when a client expresses internal conflict, ambivalence or are facing a dilemma.

Often internal conflict can blocks slows down reprocessing. Mastering this interweave effectively will help your overcome stuck points in your EMDR therapy and get better results.

Rachel noticed that she was often teaching this interweave to her supervisees, so has decided to deliver this webinar to share details of this very valuable EMDR interweave and provide a live demonstration.

Examples of when the two-handed interweave can be helpful:

  1. There is a part of your client that wants to process a memory and a part that doesn't.
  2. There is a part of your client that feels responsible for a past event and a part that knows they are not.
  3. There is a part of your client that thinks they are a horrible person and a part that knows that they are someone who has experienced horrible things.
  4. Your clients is in a dilemma or struggling to make a decision.
  5. Whenever you notice an internal conflict that seems to be blocking further processing.

Rachel has delivered this power hour a number of times, here are some examples of what therapists liked about this power hour:
