We've kicked off 2017 with an introduction of our new monthly events. Alternating between ‘So Soulful’ a dedication to the most soul-filled artists; and ‘Power of the Tongue’ is an evening that puts poetry in both its forms beside each other providing a stage for story telling, lyricism and rhyming tongue to become playful, uplifting and enhance musicianship.
Headlining So Soulful is Oscar Jerome
This man has music oozing from every pore in his body. In his Jazz quartet he sings the blues. You will watch him closed eyed and lost in the journey through the picking of his electric guitar, pausing while the sax lays down it's wondering solo, feel you waist move with the bass and head nod with the drums. This is truly a time stopping set up, we can't wait!
A sound way beyond her years, this lady's tone is a heart filling sound. Her story telling only proves her knowing of love and loss, the world and how we live in it. She speaks to us through her music and her sound is one we want more of.
If you love the freedom of India Arie, the sass of Joss Stone and the sweetness of Corrine Bailey Rae then you have already fallen for Dee Ajayi. She sends musical messages to the ears of her listeners, she feeds your soul with that music that lifts you.
