Back by popular demand, the Riverside Sauna returns.

Enjoy all the feel-good benefits of deep heat, cold contrast, and delicious steam in this pop-up riverside sauna session at Emerge East on Saturday 6th September.

Sauna Master UK, in collaboration with Zoky Saunascape and Portasauna Tent Saunas, will bring the Wild Riverside Sauna concept to one of East London’s most idyllic Riverside locations. Be sure to grab a ticket to enjoy the revitalising benefits of deep heat, cold contrast, and soothing steam, all while overlooking the iconic River Thames.

This year, we are accompanying ourwellness offer with sound baths, massage therapy, and nature-based workshops inspired by principles of life beside the water. Whether you are a seasoned sauna-goes or new to holistic health, the Riverside Sauna wellness zone offers a calming hub to unwind and refresh.

You'll be guided by trained sauna experts on how to get the full benefits of your experience.

Emerge East is a free celebration of community, creativity and nature, and offers an exciting day out discovering one of East London’s newest neighbourhoods. This year’s highlight is the Barking Riverside’s Block Party. For the first time ever, we’re taking over the streets, closing the road, and building a sound system stage to host a non-stop line-up of live music, local talent, and high-energy performances, all leading up to an unforgettable headline act to close the night.

Please arrive 15 minutes before you session starts. Ages 18+ only.

Capacity is limited due to the available workspace. Limited walk up spaces will be available on a first come first served basis.

Accessibility - no step free access. The saunas are not wheelchair accessible.

After an introductory talk, you'll be guided by trained sauna experts on how to get the benefits of deep heat, cold contrast and steam as well as offerings of leaf whisking, aufguss, body treatments and more...

About Katie Bracher, Zoky Saunascape and Portasauna Tent Saunas

Katie Bracher aka @saunamasteruk is on a mission to share the beauty of sweat bathing with the people of the UK and has been guiding, building and talking sauna since 2014. Creating sauna experiences and holding trainings for sauna and bathing rituals.

She is at the forefront the emerging of UK sauna scene - founder and creator of Beach Box Brighton - a pop-up seaside spa concept that sparked a wave of pop-up sauna businesses around the UK coastline. Her most recent ‘Wild Spa” concept brings a ‘sauna garden’ style of public spa to the Sussex countryside.

“My interest lies in the embodied experience, communal practice, rituals, nature and self connection that can be formed through Sauna practice. Through guiding saunas sessions, hosting webinars, collaborating with grassroots sauna projects, research and visiting traditional bath cultures.

Training and connected to many international bath masters and the wider sauna community I support bringing the best of sauna, bathing and spa culture to the UK, specialising in pop-up projects.

Zoky Saunascape

Zoky Saunascape brings the heat and cold to Emerge East for the first time delivering an exceptional thermo therapy experience where you will melt away your worries in their beautiful wood fired sauna with views over the River Thames then reset in their chilled and filtered plunge pools

Portasauna

PortaSauna, are not just about saunas, their all about making wellness easy, accessible, and something you actually look forward to. They want you to incorporate sauna usage into your daily life and feel great about it.

With a belief that feeling good shouldn’t be complicated, expensive, or stuck in one place. A sauna isn’t just a luxury, it’s a tool for recovery, relaxation, and reconnecting with yourself and others. And yet, for most people, regular sauna access is either inconvenient, overpriced, or completely out of reach.

PortaSauna UK brings the authentic sauna experience to any location with their high-quality, mobile wood-fired saunas. Designed for festivals, private events, wellness retreats, and unique gatherings, their portable saunas offer a warm, inviting space for relaxation and connection.
