Join us for a case based approach to understanding the mechanisms of electrolyte imbalances, the approach to their correction and potential pitfalls to consider – with a focus on addisons disease and feline AKI/CKD.


Please note, food and drink will be served at 7pm with the session commencing at 7:30pm.


About the Speakers:

Fiona McFarlane BVSc CertAVP(SAM) BSc MRCVS Certificate holder in Small Animal Medicine


Fiona qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2006 and has developed an interest in internal medicine and imaging in her time in general practice. In 2016, she was awarded the RCVS certificate in advanced veterinary practice in the area of Small Animal Medicine. Fiona joined the referral team at Lime Trees in 2023 to focus on pursuing her passion for investigating more challenging medical cases. Outside of work, Fiona is kept busy with her two small children and her Bengal cat, Stacey. She enjoys open water swimming, cycling and walking.


Ewa Crutchley PgCertSAECC PgCertSurg(WBIS) MRCVS Certificate holder in Small Animal Surgery and ECC


Ewa comes from a veterinary family and qualified at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin in 2012. The same year, she joined international pet hospitals in Beijing & Shanghai, China and later Cairo, Egypt. In 2014, she moved to the UK and started working for Vets Now, where she developed her love for emergency and critical care. In 2020, she obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care, and soon after, in 2023, in Small Animal Surgery.

You will catch Ewa working alongside our First Opinion Veterinary Team as well as our Referral Team, concentrating on Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue cases.
