Course Content Overview

This 1-day Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is ideal for individuals who wish to become a qualified emergency first aider in the workplace. It covers essential first aid knowledge and practical skills aligned with HSE requirements, including:

  • Roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
  • Assessing incidents and ensuring scene safety
  • CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • Managing unresponsive casualties (including recovery position)
  • Responding to choking, seizures, and shock
  • Treating wounds, bleeding, and minor injuries (cuts, bruises, burns, scalds)

Successful candidates receive a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated certificate valid for 3 years.

Are refreshments available during the course?

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time for registration. Venue staff will be available to direct you to the training room. Look out for signage or ask at reception if you're unsure where to go.
