Emergency First Aid at Work, Maidstone

The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is aimed at those who feel that they do not need a full 3 day First Aid at Work course.

- First Aid and the Law
- Safe use of First Aid Equipment
- Acting Safely including prevention of cross infection
- Recording incidents

Please note that candidates must be able to perform exercises at floor level where required. It is a requirement of all regulated courses that the candidate should be able to communicate effectively with Emergency Services and, although this is not assessed formally, your instructor must be satisfied that this is the case. As such, all the question papers are in English and a reader will be provided if candidates have literacy concerns or learning difficulties.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You have to be at least 14 years old to participate in the course and must be able to produce photo ID on the day. Acceptable forms of ID include photocard driving license, passports, National ID cards, Staff passes, CIS cards. If you are in doubt, please check with us in advance
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is a long-stay, public car park opposite the Church and several others in the area. The venue is close to the town centre and on several bus routes as well as being walkable from both Maidstone East and Maidstone West train stations

What's the refund policy?
Up to 4 weeks before the course you can cancel without charge. After that, there is a sliding scale of charges which are listing in our terms and conditions. These can be found in full on our website www.thefirstaidteam.co.uk

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes. If it is a simple name change then there is no penalty. If you change the date of your course, then charges do apply. Up to 4 weeks before the course there is no penalty, but after this there is a sliding scale of charges which can be found on our web site
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
