Description
The certificate is issued by Aid Training and is recognised as an approved provider of First Aid training and is valid for 3 years
Course Content Includes :
- The Role of the first aider including reference to the use of available equipment and the need for recording incidents and actions
- The importance of basic hygiene in first aid procedures
- Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Administering first aid to a casualty who is unconscious and/or in a seizure
- Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Administering first aid to a casualty who is wounded, bleeding, choking and/ or in shock and provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries
Assessment
There is an ongoing assessment of this course. All candidates will be awarded a certificate that is valid for 3 years

Times: 8.30am for 8:45 Start. Finish 4.30pm

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You must be aged 16 or over to attend this course.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is available at Suffolk Rural with no charge.
Are refreshments available?
Refreshments and lunch will be available to purchase at the College refectories. Alternatively you may wish to bring your own refreshments and packed lunch if preferred.

What precautions are in place relating to Covid 19?
If you are showing any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone showing symptoms in the last 14 days, please do not travel or attend the college.
The college has implemented a range of adjustments in line with Government guidelines. This includes introducing a one-way system around the building, reconfiguring rooms and ventilation, wearing face coverings in communal areas and when 2m distance cannot be maintained such as when being taught a specific skill, applying social distancing in the communal areas and in classrooms/workshops, washing hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer gel if soap and water not available.
