This is an emergency first aid course so will include:
- managing an incident
- priorities of first aid
- CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation)
- disorders of circulation
- disorders of the airwayscontrol of bleeding, burns and scalds
Who is the Course Aimed at?
This introductory course is designed for anyone who is keen to have basic first aid knowledge. Given the expected high level of demand for this course priority will be given to volunteers from local community groups and will be limited to one place per organisation. There are a maximum of 15 places.
By the end of the course participants will have covered emergency first aid procedures and be able to deal with:
Managing an incident, Priorities of first aid, CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, Disorders of circulation & Control of bleeding, burns and scalds.
Successful candidates will receive a certificate on completion which is valid for 3 years.
