How has the pandemic impacted on your health and wellbeing?

Are you feeling anxious about emerging from lockdown?

Are you needing to offload unwanted baggage?

The past year has thrown up numerous challenges for businesses, society, working practices, families, individuals etc. One of the biggest impacts this pandemic has befallen many of us is how to manage our mental health and wellbeing. As we gradually move through the stages of our current lockdown to a place where freedom and movement will feel like a breath of fresh air there will be for many I suggest a need to offload their ‘Covid-19 baggage’. By letting go this will allow people to reconnect to themselves and the world around them.

This workshop will combine creativity and the healing power of nature with the aim of helping people to improve their health and wellbeing. Spending time in nature has been found to have a positive impact on our wellbeing and can help reduce stress, anxiety and depression. These observations are supported by research highlighting the positive benefits of the human-nature connection.

While this workshop will employ a range of Dramatherapy techniques you do not need to have previous experience or skill in acting to benefit.

This workshop will offer participants the opportunity to:

• Let go of unwanted baggage
• Explore pathways to new beginnings
• Release unwanted emotion
• Engage in mindfulness

Experience the process of embodiment; a creative way in which the self is released by and through the body

Further workshops will follow over the coming months and each month I have a chosen a particular theme to give the workshops a focused approach:

June – continuing the theme of May’s workshop; emerging from lockdown

July – celebration

August – transition

September - the new norm; what does that feel like?

October – consolidation

Story and metaphor will also be used in helping participants journey through some aspects of this workshop.
