About the books
The Cliffhanger - Emily Freud
This novel is a rollercoaster of a thriller. Husband and wife writing team, Felix and Emma, are at the top of their game. Based in New York, their literary fame is astronomical and it seems like nothing could falter their success. That is until Felix's big mistake. With their marriage and career on the rocks, they retreat to the south of France to recover. Here, under the stifling heat of the summer sun, disaster waits to strike.
Be Mine - Lizzy Barber
Be Mine tells the story of a struggling new mother whose past is catching up to her. A decade prior, Beth meets vibrant Marissa and through her finds herself drawn into the intoxicating world of a health and wellness organisation called 'Elixir'. Drunk on the promise of a changed life, Beth gets increasingly hooked on the challenging regime of Elixir, especially when she falls for the brand's enigmatic leader. This thrilling novel is about identity and searching for our place in a modern, godless society.
