About this event
We are delighted to invite you to our fifth annual EmilyTest GBV Conference!
Join us for a day of insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and action planning to tackle Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in universities and colleges. This in-person event will be held at the COSLA Conference Centre, 19 Haymarket Yards, Edinburgh. This Conference continues to bring the sector together to share best practices and problem solve collaboratively, all with the aim of creating campuses that are as safe as possible for students and staff.
This year, our focus is on sharing case studies from universities and colleges across the UK, offering an exchange of good practice, highlighting tangible institutional change leading to positive impacts in addressing Gender-Based Violence. You will hear from fellow professionals, as well as leading experts in the field. This year we will have the option to attend two themed workshops, helping to further your learning.
Given the expansion of EmilyTest activity and the GBV Charter, we recommend you secure your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Places are limited due to the venue size.
Quotes from delegates 2023 & 2024:
"The conference was truly excellent. One of, if not the best, conferences I have ever been to."
"The importance of working together and sharing best practice as well as learning from each other's mistakes."
"Despite all the good work we do, we need to do more. Universities need resources to do this properly - it's not just an 'add on' to someone's role."
"How much institutions can do to prevent GBV [with] EmilyTest."
"I learned the true scale and impact of GBV and the collaborative work required to address in all settings."
Full agenda and speakers to be announced shortly.
