These psycho-educational spaces will support to overcome racial trauma with an intention to liberate and empower on a personal and collective level.
Who are the Lewisham Independent Advisory group
The Lewisham Independent Advisory Group (Lewisham IAG) originally formed to work directly with the South London and Maudsley Trust (SLaM) to improve the access, outcomes and experiences of the Black community who are overrepresented within their Mental Health services. We are evolving, and while we continue to work with the Trust, we understand the value and necessity of working within the black community to address Mental Health on a preventative level.
We acknowledge that we as a people need to heal and feel safe enough to challenge the things that contribute to our struggles.
This event is for Lewisham residents only.
