Event description

Description

This session is designed for cancer patients and their carers.

A diagnosis can be traumatic for the body. Fear can lead to stress on the body, which can have a devastating effect mentally, emotionally and physically. Caring for loved ones with cancer can be challenging.

Learning how to manage fear, stress, frustration and even fatigue is essential if you’ve been diagnosed or if you’re a carer.

Once a quarter EFT Practitioner, Carmen Gilfillan, will be running an hour’s complementary group session on Tapping, aka Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), for cancer patients and their carers.

EFT is an easy-to-learn therapy based on acupuncture, which was founded in the 1990s. It involves lightly tapping on acupressure points to stimulate energy flow around the body, helping to ease and even eliminate fear, stress and trauma.

What you’ll learn:

· What Energy Therapy is

· What EFT is and how it works

· How trauma affects the body

· How to eliminate fear, trauma and stress from the body

Please note the following:
