Emotional Resilience: How are you at effectively managing change?
In an environment of continuous change, the concept of resilience is playing an increasingly important role in leadership, people development and overall organisational success.
Emotional resilience describes the mind-set that every person adopts in everything they do and are closely related to traits such as self-awareness, acceptance and collaboration.
Recent studies have estimated that failure rates for organisational change implementation range somewhere between 28% to as high as 70% (McKay et al 2013, CBI). The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) suggest that a lack of effective leadership and management capabilities is one of the biggest reasons for failure in this area.
We understand that leadership is a cornerstone of good people management and in turn, organisational success. By encouraging your leaders to continually learn and develop, we want to help your business achieve its ambitions and ensure a happy, healthy and sustainable culture.
This introductory workshop will help your leaders to explore the developing concepts of resilience and mental toughness, providing an overview of tools and processes that can help you assess, and understand, levels of resilience within your own organisation.
Through discussion based activity, the workshop will help you to consider:
- The importance of this ‘personality’ trait and how it determines how people deal with challenge, stressors and pressure.... irrespective of circumstances
- The value of understanding how mentally equipped people are to manage short-term operational changes and long-term strategic shifts
- The impact of developing emotional resilience on organisational health and bottom-line performance
- The journey you and your team need to make in order to realise the opportunities
Please note, only two places are available per organisation. Ideal for senior managers or HR leads. BOOKING is essential.
