About this event

Family & Education • Education

This session is designed to equip all primary school staff, from teachers to support roles, with the knowledge and practical tools to create a trauma-informed, emotionally safe environment for children. Moving beyond the traditional view of wellbeing as an add-on, the session will demonstrate that emotional safety is the essential foundation for effective learning. Participants will learn simple, actionable strategies to embed this approach into their daily routines, reducing student anxiety and promoting a sense of calm and connection. The content will not only provide insights into recognising and responding to early signs of distress but also offer reflection prompts for staff to support their own wellbeing, reaffirming their crucial role as shapers of lives and not just deliverers of a curriculum.

Please Note:

This session is aimed at adults working in primary schools, including all staff groups: Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Senior Leaders, SENDCos, pastoral staff, and other support roles who directly or indirectly support children’s wellbeing.
