The morning begins with an introduction to Stoicism, including its emphasis on what’s within our control and how to cultivate emotional balance. Participants read and reflect on key Stoic quotes, followed by a group discussion on how these ideas apply today.
Session 2
We then explore Buddhist teachings on suffering, detachment, and compassion. A guided loving-kindness meditation offers a contemplative practice for developing empathy and emotional resilience. Journaling prompts encourage reflection on personal responses to suffering, with time for optional sharing and discussion.
