Event description

Description

Imagine being able to step into someone else’s life and try it out for a while. Imagine understanding and feeling the hopes, fears and motivations of others from the inside. Empath is an experimental project currently in development in Bristol that will enable you to do just that.

Splash & Ripple are making an audio augmented drama simulating the interior experience of someone else’s life as they walk around the city. The drama will be played out in your head, controlled by decisions you make in the real world.

Join Rosie Poebright from Splash & Ripple to test out a new audio work currently in development for Bristol Legible City. This event will last up to an hour and will include time to give feedback on your experience of the work.

Empath is a collaboration between UWE Bristol, Bristol Legible City and Splash & Ripple - a company of artists based at the Pervasive Media Studio at Watershed.

This event is part of WalkFest (1 - 31 May 2018) www.bristolwalkfest.com

This guided walk will last up to 90 minutes. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Please note that the Architecture Centre will be documenting this event through photography and audio recording.
