About the Event:

The University of Edinburgh’s Empirical Legal Research Network (ELRN) serves as a nexus for those interested in empirical research and the study of law in society. This March event is an empirical legal research methods workshop that is case study-driven. Through presentations by four empirical legal research scholars and audience discussion, the workshop will explore how one ‘does’ empirical legal research using different types of methods and will address successes, practical tips, and how to avoid potential pitfalls. This ELRN workshop is open to all staff and students at the University of Edinburgh. Registration is free. Following the speaker presentations, there will be a 20-minute panel discussion that involves interaction with the audience and a wine reception.
