We all know that having a happy and engaged workforce can increase the chances of business success, contributing to organisational and individual performance, productivity and well-being. However, why is it that employee engagement is often considered as a ‘HR Initiative’ and therefore does not always get the required buy-in from your senior managers? This practical interactive session will examine some of the barriers of employee engagement and the role, managers have in driving engagement throughout the organisation.
Join us at this event as Roger Chapman and Louisa Scanlan from Investors in People share with us some of the insights they have uncovered as part of their involvement with many organisations, big and small across the country. Not only will they explore the barriers to engagement but also the importance of culture and leadership style. They will also provide an overview of the new 6th generation IiP framework which was introduced last year. During the session there will be a practical interactive element which you will be able to discuss common problems, themes and trends as well as share ideas on how you and others are dealing with these situations.
Immediately following the end of the IiP Event, the Branch would like to invite delegates to attend an informal networking lunch, followed by the Branch’s Annual Meeting feedback on the 2015-2016 Branch year, and looking forward to the Branch’s plans for 2016/2017.
