Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Employee Engagement has become the latest movement to sweep HR. Is it really the evolutionary child of performance management and career planning (the big movements of the 70’s and 80’s) or just part of the ‘Personnel” Pendulum and shortly to disappear as workforce challenges reduce?

This presentation will explore reasons why EE might fail, what can be done to secure success and describe how to foster a culture that drives engagement and encourages agility. Taking you on a journey that includes a chocolate factory, gymkhanas and Blue Riband, this presentation will highlight why Employee Engagement is failing to engage senior executives.

Brian’s journey in life commenced within a small Yorkshire Brewery where he was part of the team that facilitated a major transformation in Production. To his surprise the skills he learned there have continued to be relevant in organisations both large and small around the world.

Presented with repeated examples of organisations who invest heavily during the Hype Cycle he continues to question why lessons are not being learned. Is Employee Engagement a case in point?
