What is Employee Experience?

In the modern world the customer experience has come synonymous with business success. The tailored experience a customer feels is uniquely theirs, as they interact with a brand or organisation throughout their day.

This concept, alongside the need to map out and ultimately redesign the sum of all the interactions an employee has with an organisation, has begun to take centre stage as HR moves beyond measuring employee engagement and considers how their employees feel about their work each day.

Influenced by the personalised experience people now have at home when watching Netflix or using their tablet, interlinked with digitalisation, a blurring of work and life, and the hyper-connected nature of the modern workplace, employees are seeking a more personalised, agile and holistic experience from their employer.

But what is the employee experience? Does it occur naturally, or can it be designed and if so, what are the component parts? And, as technology and AI enters the workplace how do we enrich the human element?

This Unconference will give you the opportunity to explore what it means to create a great employee experience and how it can be sustained, by placing you in the centre of your own learning experience.

What is an unconference?

How many times have you attended a conference hoping to learn about new developments in the HR profession, only to gain the biggest insight when chatting to a fellow professional over coffee and biscuits? While conferences are a great opportunity to explore current industry trends, it’s often during the informal parts where the most valuable conversation happens – personal insights, practical information about what our peers are doing, new sources of information and powerful contacts.

An Unconference is like an extended, loosely structured and rather fantastic conference coffee break.

Participants on the day co-create the agenda – deciding what topics to discuss, and contributing and participating as you feel best. It’s an opportunity to share ideas on what’s really happening in HR, that’s important to you and the organisations you lead.

An Unconference means no speakers, no fixed agenda, and no selling or promotional activity. While we will have experts on hand, the intention is to hear from you.

Be prepared to engage, share and experiment to make this event your own.
