This course is for Employers of staff eligible to join the NHS Pension Scheme only.
This event is for all employers who are a point of contact for administering the NHS Pension Scheme.
This event includes:
- an overview of the ill health process and application
- serious ill health including commutation - where a member that has less than 12 months to live may receive all their ill health pension in one lump sum payment
- the family benefits available
The event is delivered by the NHS Business Services Authority. NHS Pensions administer the NHS Pension Scheme for England and Wales on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care.
The event is free to attend but spaces are limited, and tickets must be booked in advance.

The course will start at 10:30am and finish at approximately noon and includes a Q&A for you to ask questions.
If you register and then are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can reallocate your reserved place to the next available person.
Depending on the number of attendees the session may finish earlier than the advertised time.
When you have completed the session, a CPD accreditation will be provided for full attendance.
